Hada Labo Gokujyun SHA Cleansing Oil [Review]



Hi you guys! How are you guys holding up so far? We’re entering the third phase of Movement Control Order (MCO) soon, hope everyone stay safe and well. So I have another cleansing oil review today. I know this one quite popular cleansing oil but I’m going to review anyway.

I think everyone knows the famous double cleansing method by now right? Even you wear sunscreen only, I would still suggest to do double cleansing method – by using Oil Cleanser and follow up by your normal Face Cleanser in your night skincare routine. Products will be absorbed better when you have clean skin and it can help to repair your skin during the night.

What It Claims:
4 types of beauty oils – richly nourish skin and gently melt away all types of makeup, leaving skin feeling clean, balanced and moisturized. Formulated with high purity Olive Oil to deep clean and gently remove dirt, excessive oil and stubborn makeup instantly.

With 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid. Enhanced with Super Hyaluronic Acid to intensely hydrate and maintain skin’s moisture balance leaving skin feeling soft & smooth.

Anti-pollution formula. No Animal Testing, No Fragrances, Colourant, No Mineral Oil, No Alcohol.

It is water-soluble, does not leave unpleasant greasy feeling.

Skin pH balanced. Low irritation. Gentle to your delicate eye area and eye lashes. High cleansing ability even for water-proof mascara.

Oil Type:
Olive Oil, Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil & Rosehip Oil.

Ingredients:

Paraben, Sulfate, Silicon and Alcohol free. With Minimal Ingredients.

How to Use It:
Need about 1-2 pumps, depends on your preference and need. I usually use 1 pump when I put sunscreen only and 2 pumps when I have makeup on or more depends on how thick my makeup was.

Use it as the first step in night skincare routine, massage it on dry skin, then add water to emulsify it, then massage again before rinse it off. Follow by your preferred face cleanser.

Packaging & Price:
            Yellow transparent-ish bottle with pump and stopper. 200 ml for RM 58.90 (as of date).
The price may not be cheap but it comes in 200 ml therefore, it will last longer for about almost the same price with other oil cleanser.

Love the bottle comes in pump and stopper, easier to travel as it won’t accidentally pumped in my bag. I appreciate the bottle is transparent – easily to see how many left. Because usually when it comes to pump bottle, the issue is you can’t pump the balance when the product is really low. So when it’s clear/transparent you can see how much left and easier to estimate how much you want to pour instead spill everything and waste it.

Texture:
            Thin, clear transparent oil.
            Love the texture, easier to massage without tugging my skin too much. It doesn’t left any oil film or residue as well.  

Scent:
No noticeable scent.
Since Fragrance free, it doesn’t smell anything not even strong oil smell.


Personal Review:  
I love this oil cleanser sooo much! It doesn’t smell weird/unpleasant – it doesn’t smell like anything at all, thin texture, easy to massage and breakdown my makeup very well and it emulsifies well too. I don’t have any complaint at all about this product. After rinse it off, no oil film left. Just as it claimed Goku-Jyun (meaning “super hydrating”) it doesn’t make my skin tight or dry and it doesn’t make my skin irritated at all (which I have very sensitive skin and turn red easily). It’s just that my eyes would go cloudy after massage the oil around eyes area but I guess it is normal for oil cleanser, don’t worry it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.

I use this for both either just removing my sunscreens or removing my makeup. It worked well for both situations. I have two (2) different bottles as you see in this post, one (1) I bought here at local drugstore (white label - left one) and another one (1) from Japan (in yellow label - right one), I bought from a personal shopper who often go to Japan. I heard that it has different formulation, but I can’t differentiate them as I can’t read Japanese (sorry guys). But what I can tell you, I think both work just fine. I didn’t feel any different at all. Both have the same texture and gave the same outcome.

Here some of the example how well it removes makeup:

Only the Liquid Matte Lipstick left a tiny stained, but it's fine, usually this type of lipstick really hard to remove and usually stained quite a bit. I don't mind at all as I usually remove my liquid lipstick using Vaseline then go over with oil cleanser. To me this is good enough already.

LOVE IT!

Will I re-purchase it?
Already did!

Do I recommend it?
Sure, try it yourself.

Simple Hydrating Oil Cleansing [Review]



Hello! Happy New Year guys! It’s already 2020. How are you guys doing so far? I hope it’s good. Okay, so another review, actually Vee tried this one for quite some time, only now I get to write review on it. Let’s get to it.

Hydrating Cleansing Oil 

I think by now, people are well aware how important double cleansing is. Starting off your skin care regime with clean palette will help your skin to absorb all the goodness in the products. Personally, I haven’t skip using this method, either when I have makeup on or even just sunscreen on my face. If you haven’t try it yet, you guys should try this method. You will have less blackheads, whiteheads, acne or any other clog pores issue – because you go to bed with a clean face.

What It Claims:
"Made with 100% pure grapeseed oil and enriched with skin-loving ingredients, our cleansing oil leaves your skin clean and instantly hydrated. No fragrance, No colour or dye, No harsh chemicals. Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil is a gentle, soothing and effective way to remove make-up and to deeply cleanse without irritating the skin."

 "Made with 100% natural grapeseed oil, light in texture and enriched with skin-loving vitamins to leave skin cleansed, hydrated and soft. Easy to rinse-off, with no greasy finish."

 "Our Hydrating Cleansing Oil contains no colour or dyes and no artificial perfume that can upset your skin, making it perfect for even sensitive skin."

Oil Type:
100% Pure Grapeseed Oil, Vitamin A and Vitamin E.


Ingredients:
Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil Isopropyl Palmitate Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate Phenoxyethanol BHT Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil Isopropyl Myristate Retinyl Palmitate Tocopheryl Acetate.
Paraben, Sulfate, Silicon and Alcohol free. With Minimal Ingredients.

How to Use It:
Need about 4-5 drops, depends on your preferences and need.
Use it at the first step in the skincare routine at night, as the first cleanser to remove all dirt, makeup and oil. Use it on dry skin, massage it, and then add some water to emulsify it, then massage again before rinse it off. Followed by your preferred face cleanser.

Packaging & Price:
            Light green clear bottle with flap cover. 125 ml for RM 44.50 (as of date).
The bottle cap (flap type) is not tight enough or maybe just my bottle. I used to spill a lot whenever I travel with this. The flap is easily opened whenever it collides with other skin care items in my travel bag, so I would suggest, if you face the same thing, cellophane tape the cover/cap.


Texture:
            Clear oil, with a bit thick texture.
             I think the thick texture because it’s made with 100% pure grapeseed oil.

Scent:
It does smell oil, like oil-oil haha. Not a fan of it.

*Sorry I forgot to snap photo when it emulsify. Make sure after massage it, mix with little water, emulsify it to turn milky white and massage it again before rinse it. 


Personal Review:  
First of all, I like it that it made with 100% Pure Grapeseed oil, with minimal ingredients – which means we don’t put stuff on our face which we may not need or that is unnecessary. It is Paraben, Sulfate and Alcohol free too.

It does breaks down the makeup and emulsify well. But after rinse it, I do find it leaves a thin oil film on my skin. Definitely good for dry skin as it doesn’t dry out you skin. But personally I do feel like it can clogged my pores, even though it claimed that it’s non-comedegenic. So, after using this oil cleanser as my first step, I will follow up the routine with a facial cleanser that has foamy texture to make sure it takes off the oil film left on my skin and thoroughly cleanse to have a clean face to start my night routine.

Sometimes, I also find that, I needed to massage or rubbing it more to break down my makeup especially a heavy one. And sometimes when I massage the oil cleanser, it does irritate my skin. There few times when I used it to break down my makeup - a heavy one, I feel like it stings and hot-burning sensation as I keep massage it, so I just stop and rinse it off. It doesn’t happened often, but I haven’t changed anything in my routine while I’m using this, so I don’t know what actually happened. But maybe because my skin just sensitive and reacted over it, I guess. So I would use it to remove m sunscreen or light makeup only as rubbing too much with this oil cleanser will makes my skin irritated.

Worth wise, I would prefer just one oil cleanser that suitable for me, either with heavy makeup or light makeup even just sunscreens. It’s not a bad oil cleanser, in my opinion it works well actually, just I have a sensitive skin and my skin tends to have redness pretty easily. Price wise, I would prefer any oil cleanser prices actually much cheaper like normal face cleanser prices would be. Because we’re going to use it daily and it runs so fast. So in my opinion, RM 40-50 for each bottle of oil cleanser is expensive to maintain, but still okay lah.


Overall opinion:
Do I like it?
Okay lah.

Will I re-purchase it?
Maybe. But I want to try other oil cleanser.

Do I recommend it?
Sure, try it yourself. Maybe it suits you.

Banila Co: Clean It Zero [Review]



Hi! Assalamualaikum. It has been a while that I stepped out from blogging, I’ve been busy completing my master papers and handling my Florist business (IG: Flori Malaysia – do check the page ya) and I also have been trying LOTS OF SKINCARE AND MAKEUP. So, I’m back baby! And I will share all my opinion on those stuff in my blog. So hari ni, Vee akan share my opinion on one of the skin care item, iaitu Oil Cleanser: Banila Co Clean It Zero.

Ini memang antara skincare items dari Korea yang ramai orang rave about it. So I decided to give a try. Every day on night routine kena make sure yang kita bersihkan kulit muka dan pores betul-betul untuk mengelakkan dari pores tersumbat. Nanti mula jerawat naik, blackhead, whitehead and all sorts of skin problems. Once it happened, nak treat nanti takes a lot time. Vee actually, in these two years have been dealing with serious acne and skin problem (I will do another post about my journey tu ya).

Banila Co Clean It Zero is actually Cleansing Balm, dia datang dalam bentuk balm, which is texture macam Vaseline or lipbalm punya texture tapi once you rub on your skin atau rub atas tapak tangan, dia akan melt and turn into oil. Dia akan melt kan semua makeup on your face.





What It Claims: All-in-one Cleansing & First step Skincare, Draw out impurities from the pores perfectly. Suitable for sensitive skin. ZERO residue, spill, grease, dirt and irritation. Maintain moisture no tight feeling after cleansing.




Ingredients: Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate , PEG-10 Isostearate, Synthetic Wax, Onsen-Sui, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Root Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Angelica Archangelica Root Extract, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Polydiethyleneglycol Adipate/IPDI Copolymer, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Acrylates/Methoxy PEG-15 Methacrylate Copolymer

Menurut website:  http://acneclinicnyc.com/pore-clogging-ingredients/ Ada satu bahan yang boleh berpotensi untuk clogged kan pores dari products ni (Ethylhexyl Palmitate) dan http://Cosdna.com/eng/ingredients.php Value untuk Acne - Ethylhexyl Palmitate adalah 4 (Indication 0-5, lagi rendah value lagi rendah chances nak jadi. Tapi afterall depends on your skin, if your skin okay, didn’t clogged pores using this balm, then teruskan pakai.

How to Use It: 
Senang je, just scoop some of the balm, rub them to your face, melt all makeup or sunblock and it turns into oil. Then, letak air sikit kat muka kemudian rub lagi nanti dia akan turn from oil into milky water, after that you rinse everything off. 




Personal Review:
Personally, lepas gunakan Banila Co Cleansing Balm ni, Vee rasa kulit Vee kering dan tegang. Tapi, note that my skin is Dry, Dehydrated, Acne Prone and Sensitive to begin with. So, their claim ada moisture selepas menggunakan balm is not happening to me at all lah.  Just one thing about this balm, it irritated my eyes. Memang pedih, jadi Vee end up kena guna makeup remover lain specifically untuk remover eye makeup. Banila Co ni memang cun bersihkan eye makeup – don’t get me wong, it does it works beautifully melting all those eyeshadows, glitters and mascara, but it STINGS my eyes.

It does cleanse well on my face, so especially bila malam usually dah penat, tenyeh je balm ni, lepas tu letak air nanti dia akan jadi milky, rub lagi then rinse, Done! My face free from makeup or sunblock.




In term of breakout, I do find a little bumps on skin after using it, not often, maybe that day I didn’t clean it well or maybe it’s just because of my hormones or maybe the makeup I’m using cause me breakout, I’m not entirely sure sebab I kind of believe it does its job melting all the makeup on face. So that’s why I keep buying them and it is actually my second jar and it still the same, kadang2 ada naik jerawat and pore clogged tapi not everywhere lah. So now, I decided to try other brand pulak. Or maybe for my skin-type I need to try oil cleanser in liquid form instead.


Emptied the second bottle! Yeayy! I like even though dia dalam jar, ada spatula untuk scoop the balm so tak ada la content infected dengan our bacteria in our hands. But be sure to clean your spatula after using okay (I know some people rasa this step renyah, that’s why they prefer squeeze or pump skincare items)



Overall opinion:
Overall opinion? Not bad actually. Maybe I should’ve try the one for sensitive skin type. It actually comes in four (4) different types, so maybe if you wanted to try maybe you guys can go to their stores, the one I always visited is at Pavillion and Mid Valley, tell them your skin condition they will suggest which Clean It Zero to use.

Do I like it? Yes. Will I purchase it, Yes but I still wanted to try other cleansing oil that may suit my skin more. I did purchase new cleansing oil from Korean brand as well, so I’m hoping it does well on my skin.

Product Review: Biore Mild Cleansing Liquid


Going out looking out well with your cute dress matches with your purses and heels, not to forget with makeup you put on your face to complement the look. However, wearing it can also cause your skin to encounter certain problems such as clogging pores, acne and many more. You surely don’t want your any acne breakout or any impurities visible isn't it? Thus, removing the makeup at the end of your day is really crucial. You have to make sure that there is no residue left clogging up your pores to maintain healthy skin. Therefore, finding the right make up remover is indeed vital.

Today’s Product Review is
BIORE MILD CLEASING LIQUID



It is a water-based makeup remover which has been formulated with 1/3 moisturizing beauty serum ingredients. Non-oily, non-greasy and water-based make up remover is assured through this product. The products helps in dissolves long-wearing makeup without tugging and irritating skin. After using the products, the users shall fells their skin moisturised and smoothens. It also have Mild Floral Fragrances contained in the makeup remover.



Textures
·         Gel-ish liquid textures.
·         Clear and not foamy consistency.

How to use it
Simple and Easy to use! Dispense around 2-3 pump, and gently massage the liquid onto your face until the makeup “melt”. Then rinse it off.

My Own Testimony
Let's test it! 
Put the liquid on. 


1st trial – all melt and removed except for my mascara.




2nd trial – only a few mascara is remove.



After many attempt, there is still residue left.
Finally my mascara removed after many attempt. It is really hard to remove mascara using this makeup remover. And look, the reddish spot appear in trying so hard to remove it.


Personal Review:
Advantages:
1. Easy to use and convenient
2. Save cot form buying any cotton pad to remove make ups.

3. It does not dry my skin. After rinse it off, I found that my skin feel soft, gentle and comfortable.  Definitely as it claims, no tight sensation.
Disadvantages:
1. It does not state that, if it need double cleansing methods; which means that once you remove your makeups using makeup remover, rinse it off and clean your face again, only this time with your favourite facial wash.

2. This is not one (1) time remove and you are done. Usually, I need at least 2-3 times of massages to make sure there is no residue left on my face. First, I pump 2-3 times then massage, then rinse off, then I feel that it is not completely clean yet, then I have to pump and message for another session.

3. It claimed that it can remove waterproof mascara effectively, however, I found it, it is really really hard to remove my mascara (which is NOT waterproof mascara)and usually some of the mascara left on my eyelashes which I have to pull it out from my eyelash (not recommended okay!).

4. The liquid when it contacted my eyes, irritate it. I feel like it is burning my eyes and very uncomfortable.
