Cathy Doll Lipstick [Swatches & Review]



Hi! Assalamualaikum. I think by now, you guys must already noticed how much I love lipsticks. So today’s blog is another liquid lipstick swatches and review. For the past year, I have noticed that many brands are competing to produce matte liquid lipstick be it on better formula, more colours and overall product look in terms of bottle, packaging and such. Keep reading if you want to know my opinion on this product.

Nude Me Liquid Lip Matte



What It Claims: Introducing the trending lip matte that features fast-drying effect. The soft and long-lasting texture offers high-adherence, non-drying, leave no stain, conceal lip lines, long wearing, waterproof and smudge-proof. This popular item looks classic on all and certainly matches all skin colours!! Enhance charm to your lips with all the 18 colours available for you to choose.

Ingredients: Isododecane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Beeswax, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, CI 77491, Kaolin, Silica Ci 45410, Dimethicone, Vp/Eicosene Copolymer, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, CI 7492, CI 42090, CI 77499, Phenoxyethenol, BHT, Flavour, Propylene Carbonate.

Even though they have about 18 colours, but I only bought five (5) colours which I think I might be using, but all of their colours are beautiful. So here is my swatches.



















Personal Review:
First of all let’s talk about the packaging. The box is so beautiful, it represent the colour well and each of the boxes features of their dolls, and overall it is really eye catchy. The bottle of the lipstick is also nice, when I store them with my other liquid lipsticks, I can differentiate them well as their bottle are in beige colours and bigger size than normal liquid lipstick usually are.



The lipstick itself is really liquid and runny, make it easier to apply and blend on my lips too. However, some colours are quite patchy especially Lust Red Wine, so you might need to apply second layer and spread it well to cover the patchy application. Some colours also bleed a bit, so be careful when applying because once it dries, its going stay there.

When apply it is actually lighter than when it was completely dry. So be mind that, when it dry it is going to be darker colour just like the box itself. So you might think, ooo this is nice colour for the look when you applying it, but when it goes darker and when it dries, may not be the colour that you wanted in the first place. For me, I don’t really mind, as I love lipsticks that really rich in colour than sheers.



Once it is dry, it is as it claims to be, it is waterproof, smudge-proof and long wearing (super long wearing). However, since it is a matte liquid lipstick, I can definitely see my lip lines and it is still quite dry for my lips – but not too drying that can cause discomfort. Therefore, I recommend that you guys put some lip balm or any hydrating oil on your lips for few minutes, then remove it before applying any matte liquid lipstick. It also claims that it leaves no stain which I find that the red-based ones, kind of stain my lips after I remove them and it is quite hard to remove the stain too.

I really like the applicator brush too. It is very nice – the brush is a doe-foot type but it has a bit curve at the surface of the applicator so it hugs perfectly on the lips.  



I love the lipstick, I even have influenced a few of my friend to buy this lipstick. They tried mine and they went to buy for themselves. Since the formula is nice, I’m hoping Cathy Doll will keep continue producing this liquid lipstick, improve some of the colours and produce more colours and options too.

Overall opinion:
Do I like it? Yes. Will I re-purchase it? Depends, since I have a lot lipstick maybe no. But if they produce more colours in the future, I might buy it, but it also depends on my preferences of the colours. Do I recommend it? Yes! Go get them! It is nice matte liquid lipstick.

Palladio Velvet Matte Lip Color [Swatches & Review]



Hi! Assalamualaikum. Today, Vee will be talking about makeup stuff, yeayyy! Actually kan, Vee dah lama drafted this post, lama sangat dah. I thought I already scheduled it to post or I memang terlupa to publish this post I’m not entirely sure. Better late than never right? Okay so here is my thoughts on these beautiful liquid lipsticks.

Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color
Whenever I came across Palladio section at Guardian kan, Vee mesti teringat Bedak Nyonya Samfong – I think, because Palladio ada keluarkan bedak in box form similar to Bedak Nyoya. Haha, maybe one day Vee akan beli and compare if its the same, but,  hari ni kita nak cerita lipstick ya. Good things about this brand, they are cruelty free and they are free from parabens! Yeayy! Vee hanya beli empat (4) warna sahaja, because I think only these colours that I will wear. Hehe.


What It Claims: Matte, Rich colours with a lasting finish.

Personal Review:
I love all the colour. Apply nicely and dry well as well. Tapi code Tapestry agak patchy and streaky sikit but overall I like it. In terms of packaging, Vee suka sangat, nampak expensive and yang penting boleh terus nampak warna lipstick tu. Senang boleh terus grab colour mana yang kita wish to wear rather than selongkar semua dan kena check each one lipstick to get the colour that we want. My fav colour would be Boucle, this would be my everyday lip colour choice!

There is one thing, maybe it only happened to me or my lipsticks – I’m not entirely sure, but ada sort of oil yang leaked out from the bottle. I’m not sure if it’s from the lipstick formula or because of the packaging. So Vee hardly nak bawa lipstick ni dalam my bag or purse, I just didn’t carry them anywhere. So far yang ada keluar oil ni, only two (2) out of four (4) lipsticks that I have. Vee pun ada asingkan dari makeup and other skincare items just to see if the oil still appear, but sadly it is. This is just one of the reason why I didn’t reach out these from my drawer or hardly carry these lipsticks anywhere. Yelah, nanti dah keluar mesti nak bawak lipstick tu, untuk touch up and etc kan. So, I dah la jenis clumsy plus these oil might smear in my bag too.

Overall opinion:
Overall opinion?  The colours are beautiful, love the packaging, their doe-foot brush applicator also very nice. Overall is a very nice lipstick actually. Do I like it? Yes. Will I re-purchase it, maybe No.

Hi! Assalamualaikum. Untuk post kali ni pun Vee akan cerita tentang lipstick! Oh my I’m so obsess dengan lipstick. Haha. Nak tahu lebih lanjut on my opinion about this lipstick, teruskan membaca ya.

COLOURPOP X HELLO KITTY
LIPQUID LIPSTICKS


Siapa je tak kenal brand Colourpop ni. International brand yang sangat affordable. Tapi sayangnya, tak available kat Malaysia. Tapi they ship to Malaysia taw. Masa Vee nampak lipstick set Hello Kitty ni, memang terus je grab. One of the reason, sebab dia Hello Kitty lah, haha (obviously) and dia nampak soooo cute that I couldn’t resist untuk beli. So, Vee terus order dengan personal shopper from Instaram. 

Colourpop set ni dia adalah dalam mini size dengan lima (5) warna dalam satu kotak. Dalam set ni, ada tiga (3) Ultra Matte Lip dan dua (2) Ultra Satin Lip. So boleh enjoy, both finishing. Bagus kan? Dan setiap code warna di label related to Hello Kitty, oh my sooooo cute!

 Packaging dia pun sooo comel, dia punya box ada cut out Hello Kitty head-shaped. Ada “Hello Pretty!” kat side box as greeting and bila bukak box pula ada “Say Hello to Me When You See Me”. Weyyy, kenapa cute sangat set ni! Kat bottle lipstick dia pun ada Ribbon Hello Kitty, sangat detail packaging dia, Nice!

Review:
Warna dia memang rich. Tak perlu pakai banyak layer. Tapi ada some of the colour dia sangat dry, which is jadi tak comfortable to wear. Cantik memang cantik! Kalau bibir korang jenis dry lagi tak recommend lah. Tapi, apa yang Vee buat, Vee akan sapu Vaseline dulu, biar kan sekejap, kemudian lap Vaseline tu then pakai lah lip balm atau macam Vee, Vee suka pakai oil – Argan Oil untuk moist kat bibir. Kemudian baru pakai lipstick-lipstcik yang jenis matte atau super dry ni. Kalau tak nanti ada banyak lines dan bibir merekah tak cantik. Tapi warna dia memnag puas hati. Walaupun tube kecil, tapi don’t worry, sebab warna dia pigmented. Vee tak sure Colourpop still jual lagi ke tak set ni. Sebab Vee beli dah ada agak lama, around February macam tu. Tapi tak sempat share my review sebab Vee focus on my thesis for my master. Oh ya! I just submit my thesis, hopefully everything will go well. Tak sabar nak graduate dah. Doakan Vee, okay. =)
