Oil on Batik: Variant Exhbition
Hi
dan Assalamualaikum.
Mempunyai
bidang and we should embrace it, polish it more and use it to boost our
confidence. Kebiasaanya, bila bercakap tentang bakat, kita sering kali mengaitkan
kiralah apa sahaja bentuknya.
Baru-baru
Apa-apa pun, Tahniah Vee
ucapkan kepada Zaimudin dan rakan-rakan nya.

Variant
features new works by four artists, Aizat Ahmad, Azimuddin Manaf, Nazri Tahir
and Zaimuddin Aziz, graduates of Bachelor of Art (Fine Art) Universiti
Teknologi Mara (UiTM). Each artist eager to showcase their ponderings through
similarities and differences that occur the midst and mess of artistic
undertakings.
Each
of them has their own ideas and messages to deliver using canvas to convey.
Aizat Ahmad attempts social commentary, Civilization’s Crow. Focussing on
perspective a colours, he creates dystopian settings by crows caught in flight.
Crows act as metaphor for the gross behaviour of human beings, which often
cause disintegration of society they build.
Nazri
Tahir renders his intrigue of youth culture through pop-realistic paintings. The
figures react with one another, showcasing the entertaining and dramatic
aspects of the struggles to find love. The mandalas backgrounds indicate
inevitability of life’s whims, a way for the artiste to urge this characters to
face their conflicts.
Azimuddin
Manaf, observe the fold in fabrics, relating thins to feminine beauty. Fold are
made when the surface of a material moves in and out itself. By rendering the
female portraits through abstracted fabric folds and contrasting hues,
Azimuddin’s painting thread the fine line between inner and outer beauty.

Zaimuddin
Aziz re-inforces cultural nostalgia by doubling the batik cloth as subject
matter and medium. H eimplement as the tone for his figurative paintings.
Zaimuddin aims to use composition and colours to affecr moods in the viewer,
citing colour psychology as one of this inspirations.

This is me with the potraits ^_^
I really impressed and loved each of them. The
end products are so beautiful and meaningful. Congratulation to all!
Look! How happy I am. My OOTD, it is not common for to wear skirt though. There are days, where you will let down you hair, put some sweet colours on your face, put on your skirt and match it will stilettos just to show the world the inner feminine side of you.
Till the next post. Selamat Menjalani Ibadah Puasa. See ya!
